Prayer

Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” How do we show our trust in God? We show it in many ways. We show our trust by repenting of our sin. We show our trust by following Jesus. We show our faith and trust through believing, biblical and bold prayer. When the psalmist says we will remember the name of the Lord our God, he is saying that we will pray to God, wait on God and trust God to provide all that we need.

With the disciples we are praying, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). It is our goal and dream to help each of our members learn how to pray kingdom focused prayers. While we desire our prayers to be simple and child-like, we also pray that our prayer is the Spirit led, loving response of God’s children to their heavenly Father through the person and work of Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray that we will help build the kingdom of God and remove the kingdom of evil.

It is our goal, desire and design to assist each member to improve their personal prayer lives, to pray with and for their families, their local and the universal church, and for the world.

We have prayer discipleship groups, the internet prayer chain, Wednesday night and Thursday morning prayer meetings, the prayer and fasting relay teams, the regularly updated prayer list, and the prayer emphasis throughout the various ministries and lives of our local church and beyond as well as two 24-7 prayer vigils occurring in the spring and fall.
