Second Sunday in Advent

We Welcome Our Guests

To Young Meadows, and invite you to visit our Welcome Center located outside the Sanctuary. If you would like to know more about the life of Young Meadows Church, our hospitality volunteers will assist you with information and take you to worship services and Sunday school classes.

Poinsettias

Celebrate Advent and Christmas with a poinsettia as a memorial or honorarium; $10 each. Make checks to YMPC and leave in offering plate or on Reception Desk.  See email to order as well.  Order deadline is TODAY. Poinsettias may be picked up after the Christmas Eve Service.

Children’s Christmas Eve Prelude

Is open to all youth and children who sing or play an instrument. Deadline to register is TODAY. Sign up on Michael Wutzke’s door. If accompanist is needed, music must be given to Mr. Wutzke by Sunday, Dec. 17. Rehearsal for all participants on Saturday, Dec. 23,10:00 a.m. Contact Michael Wutzke, 244-1385 or mwutzke@ympca.org.

Salvation Army Bellringers

YMPC members will ring the bells for Salvation Army, Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Walmart at Chantilly Parkway. Contact Chalmers Bryan, chalmersii@aol.com or 205-908-5176.

Oak Grove Caroling

Join us on Sunday, Dec. 17, to sing carols to the residents of Oak Grove Inn. Meet at the church at 5:00 p.m. and return by 5:40. Contact Kirby Smith, 324-4655 or ksmith@ympca.org.

 Bells of Praise/Holiday Pops

Our own Bells of Praise will join bell choirs from First United Methodist and Trinity churches as featured guests of Montgomery Symphony’s Holiday Pops concert, Tuesday, Dec. 19, 7:30 p.m., at Montgomery Performing Arts Centre (MPAC). Tickets are available at MPAC ticket office, 334-381-5100.

MeadowLarks

Meets for lunch and a program Wednesday, Dec. 20, 11:30 a.m., in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch is $5 per person. Contact the church office at 244-1385 or pmathis@ympca.org. See email too!

End of Year Contributions

Remember to honor family and friends with year-end gifts to the church. These are tax-deductible and should be turned in to the church office by noon, Sunday, Dec 31.
